 PRIVACY POLICY

Coulston Brown Photography takes your the privacy seriously and will only process your data when there is a legitimate reason to do so. Here’s my approach:

What is personal data?

Any information relating to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified in particular by reference to an identifier.  As of 25th May 2018, the processing of personal data in the European Union is governed by the General Data Protection Regulation (‘GDPR’).

Who is processing the information?

Lucy Brown (trading as Coulston Brown Photography) is the data controller.  

What information is collected?

When you make an enquiry or have a shoot with Coulston Brown Photography, I will collect personal information such as:

  • your name

  • details of family members or friends where relevant

  • contact information including, but not limited to, email addresses and mobile telephone numbers

  • other relevant information such as shoot location

  • photographs from the shoot

What is the information used for?

As well as helping me to fulfil any contractual obligations to you, the information you supply will be used for:

  • record keeping 

  • improving Coulston Brown Photography’s services 

  • communicating with you about relevant offers, services or promotions

Cookies

This website uses cookies which are small files of letters and numbers put on your computer.  Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. These cookies are used to collect identifying information about the user, such as Web surfing behaviour or user preferences for a specific site.

Security

  • Coulston Brown Photography has security measures in place to protect your personal data and to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure

  • However, you should keep in mind that no internet transmission is ever 100% secure or error free.  Please decide what information you are happy to send via email  

  • Please also note that where passwords are provided for protected galleries, it is your responsibility to safeguard them

Your rights and your personal data  

Unless subject to an exemption under the GDPR, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data: -

  • The right to request a copy of the personal data which Coulston Brown Photography holds about you

  • The right to request that Coulston Brown Photography corrects any personal data if it is found to be inaccurate or out of date

  • The right to object to Coulston Brown Photography processing your personal data

  • The right to request your personal data is erased where it is no longer necessary for Coulston Brown Photography to hold such data.  This can be done by emailing or by writing to the following postal address: Coulston Brown Photography, 1 Malverleys Cottage, East End, Newbury, Berkshire, RG20 0AB

  • The right to withdraw your consent to the processing at any time

Social Media 

  • Coulston Brown Photography has a Social Media Policy to ensure business is conducted accordingly online.  While the business may have official profiles on social media platforms, users are advised to verify authenticity of such profiles before engaging with, or sharing information with such profiles. Coulston Brown Photography will never ask for user passwords or personal details on social media platforms. 

  • Users are advised to conduct themselves appropriately when engaging with Coulston Brown Photography on social media.

Disclosure

        We may disclose your information if we are required to do so by law or if you violate the terms and conditions.
